Esha Deol

Esha Deol, (born November 2, 1981) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. Esha is the first daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini and half-sister to actors Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. She also has a younger sister, Ahana. She attended Jamnabai Narsee School, where she excelled at soccer. She was also trained in Indian classical dance by her mother, an accomplished dancer herself. She later attended Oxford University. An eminent footballer, she is one of the rare Indian actresses to sport a toned, muscular look. Her debut film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, did not do well at the box office, but her performance was noticed, and she won the Lux New Face Award for this movie. She starred in a number of films over the next two years, but none of them succeeded. She finally had her first big hit in Dhoom (2004). This was followed by a Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan joint production, Kaal. Her next hit, Boney Kapoor's No Entry was declared the biggest grosser of 2005. She also had a hit with the action thriller Dus. She is set to star in her mother's next directorial venture with Rekha and Abhishek Bachchan and also a film in which her mother and her will be starring together in for the first time.
Although her next movie has her playing a girl who marries a guy of her parents’ choice, Esha Deol is not game for arranged marriage in real life. Contrastingly, in her next movie Just Married , Esha plays a woman who has an arranged marriage with a man ( Fardeen Khan ) of her parents’ choice. The film is a tale of newly married couple’s awkwardness in their first month after wedding.Esha says although she does not endorse the idea of arranged marriage she relied upon the experiences of some of her close friends (who married arranged) for her role in the movie.

On screen appearances
Like many successful models before her Deepika is turning to acting in Bollywood. She started by starring in the music video for "Naam Hai Tera," a song from the pop album Aap Ka Suroor, an independent album by popular Bollywood singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya. Deepika recently made her cinematic debut in a Kannada film, Aishwarya, directed by Indrajit Lankesh. [1]. Her co-stars in the movie is top Kannada hero Upendra. The film has already been successful at the box-office, and Deepika has received reviews which praise her for her great screen presence. Reportedly, she has also signed on three Hindi movies - Priyadarshan's forthcoming film, Pirate, Farah Khan's second directorial venture, Om Shanti Om and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6. All three are slated for a 2007 release. However, Deepika has categorically denied ever having met Priyadarshan, and claims she is not doing his film. Khan's and Mehra's films, however, seem very much on the anvil, though she is reluctant to talk about them with the press and won't confirm or deny developments. Deepika was also signed a Tamil film opposite Surya entitled Vaaranam Aayiram to be directed by Gautham Menon but backed out at the last moment as the dates required for the film were clashing with Om Shanti Om. .

Kareena Kapoor is yet another K-family girl who took the plunge and managed to make a huge splash in the Hindi films industry. She had the ‘privilege’ of debuting with the Bachchan boy -Abhishek in Refugee and though the film (and Abhishek) didn’t do as well as expected, Kareena earned rave reviews.Though the protagonist in Refugee was around the border a lot, J. P. Dutta failed recreate the magic of Border in Refugee. The natural and talented Kareena, without heavy make-up delivered on the sets without too many ‘takes’. And in fact, Refugee doesn't really look like her debut film at all.Born to popular Bollywood stars Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor ‘Bebo’ as she is affectionately known, stand 5'5" tall, blue eyed, and is a total extrovert. She wanted to study law in Harvard and had no plans to do anything in Bollywood. But destiny took a hancd and now she’s in the limelight like her successful sister Karishma! Some well-placed sources in the industry (yeah it is a super cliché) even say that Kareena’s Bollywood launch was delayed so that her sis Karishma could have a head start! But the two are supposed to be very close to each other and as Kareena says- “We are always looking out for each other. We’re sisters first and everything else later!” That’s Lolo and Bebo for you!- Mtv India on Kareena Kapoor.
